Zibo's 235 key projects start operating

A project launch ceremony and investment promotion event for the fourth quarter of 2021 was held on Nov 16 in Zibo, East China's Shandong province, involving 235 major projects with a total investment of 103.5 billion yuan ($16.21 billion) that started operating at the same time.

Among the 235 major projects, 77 are municipal-level, 22 are in Zhangdian district with a total investment of 10.3 billion yuan, 24 are in Zichuan district with a total investment of 4.8 billion yuan, 20 are in Boshan district with a total investment of 8.2 billion yuan, 24 are in Zhoucun district with a total investment of four billion yuan, 26 are in Linzi district with a total investment of 14.5 billion yuan, 18 are in Huantai county with a total investment of 5.6 billion yuan, 20 are in Gaoqing county with a total investment of 10.7 billion yuan, 18 are in Yiyuan county with a total investment of 12.7 billion yuan, 39 are in the Zibo High-tech Industrial Development Zone with a total investment of 26.8 billion yuan, 23 are in the Zibo Economic Development Zone with a total investment of 5.6 billion yuan, and one is a major project directly under the municipal government with an investment of 400 million yuan.

The number of large, high-quality and leading projects that drive industrial transformation and enhance the vitality of the city has significantly increased.

The smooth implementation of these projects is expected to help Zibo achieve strong progress in 2021 – the start of the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25) – as well as in 2022.
