Development goals: to mainly develop chemical medicines, biological medicines, high-end medical apparatus and instruments. The area of chemical medicines focuses on refining and improving on products such as high-end featured bulk drugs, making bigger high-end preparations with generic drugs, speeding up R&D and production of new medicines such as target antitumor drugs, immunosuppressors and ophthalmic remedies. Biological medicine focuses on three main industries: biological vaccines, blood products and diagnostic reagents. High-end medical apparatus and instruments consolidate and extend high-performing conventional products such as sterilization equipment, high-end infusion apparatus, hemodialyzers and perfusions. It makes efforts to develop leading products such as orthopedics angiocarpy implantation materials, domestic medical equipment, as well as high-end diagnosis and treat equipment.
Projections are that by 2025 the industrial scale will have reached 120 billion yuan ($18.84 billion).
