Qingweiliao, rated by many as the premier boutique homestay in Shandong province, chose to settle in Tuyu village, administered by Zibo city – located in East China's Shandong province – because it is widely regarded as having the best vantage point to take in glorious views of the Great Wall of Qi.
The village retains a quaint and original style, with more than 300 well-preserved stone dwellings.
The designer is said to have perfectly integrated the Northern Europe garden style with the stone walls.
There are eight rooms here and each is a single-family cottage, with a semi-open courtyard.
