The nighttime economy of the city of Zibo, located in East China's Shandong province, has experienced something of a boom in its development since 2019, local media reported on Feb 22.
The after-dark economy is widely said to not only be a significant indicator of a city's economic vigor, but also helps to stimulate domestic demand and creates a thriving market and lots of jobs.
Imaginative and fun night tours, vibrant city blocks that come to life in the evenings, leisurely and comfortable libraries and reading rooms and much more have all been established in Zibo – either located downtown or in the districts and counties it administers.
