The prefecture-level city of Zibo – located in East China's Shandong province – is understood to strive to achieve a breakthrough in 2022 in the switchover from old to new economic drivers, in order to power up its industrial development to new heights.
To do so, Zibo is expected to vigorously promote the digital transformation of industry. It is set to complete more than 500 key municipal technical transformation projects in the current year and in addition it will develop more than 30 typical applications scenarios.
Moreover, a new economy incubation campaign will be rolled out – and the 2022 Hydrogen Industry Development Innovation Summit will be staged – to help expand the new economy and new forms of business.
Zibo is projected to form application scenarios of 600 driverless vehicles and 200 hydrogen fuel cell vehicles in 2022, as well as to incubate more than 20 green factories.
In addition, Zibo will seek to promote the development of a group of dynamic industry supply chains. It is expected that it will establish one industrial cluster with an annual output value of 200 billion yuan, two 100-billion-yuan industrial clusters and at least four 50-billion-yuan industrial clusters.
Furthermore, the number of resident businesses with an annual operating revenue of over 10 billion yuan is expected to reach 17 within the year.
