The marvelous Qishan Mountain Scenic Area – located in the Zichuan district of Zibo city, in East China's Shandong province – reopened on March 5, after a three-month upgrade and conservation work.

It's understood that a raft of events and marketing promotions will be now rolled out, plugging the place to potential tourists, in the spring.

For example, to celebrate the upcoming International Women's Day, the scenic area is holding a special event and ladies wearing hanfu, or traditional Chinese apparel, will be admitted free on March 8.

In addition, 400 families will be invited to participate in an Arbor Day parents-child event on March 12 and 13.

On March 26, when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, the Qishan Mountain Scenic Area will hold its regular cherry blossoms festival.

The festival has been held once a year and this will be its 10th session.
