New dynamic survey map shows way for Zibo businesses

zibo.gov.cn|Updated: April 1, 2022

A new dynamic survey map is making things a lot easier and faster for new businesses to settle in new sites in the Zibo National New & High-tech Industrial Development Zone – located in Zibo, in East China's Shandong province – according to the city's administrative examination and approval service bureau, which recently began using it.

In order to counter the use of false addresses, so-called fuzzy addresses – or even parties using the address of others to register enterprises – the bureau began inputting the basic information of companies that applied for business licensees.

It inputted the data from February into the "Map World" – the national platform for common geospatial information services – to help it form its own dynamic survey service map.

"Since it was issued, the map has been widely praised by enterprises and the public," a bureau official said.

A Mr. Zhang, who applied for registration of a dumpling shop and a restaurant, was recently troubled with the two premises having the same address.

By using the dynamic survey service map, a bureau employee discovered that although this was the case, effective physical partitions had been carried out, so their entrances and exits were separate. As a result, Mr Zhang could go ahead with his food business license.

The employee said it took only 10 minutes to help the proprietor solve the problem.

Moving forwards, the bureau plans to migrate more items onto the map to offer better inspection services.
