A branch of the prestigious US co-educational MacDuffie School will open in September in Zibo city – located in East China's Shandong province – according to local media reports.

The new school will have a kindergarten and a senior high school, the media reported on April 26. The kindergarten plans to enroll 40 kids, while the high school plans to attract more than 200 students.
The MacDuffie School – which is set in 250 acres (101 hectares) in the town of Granby, in the US state of Massachusetts – was founded in 1890 by Harvard graduates, John and Abby MacDuffie. It currently has three branches in China – in Shanghai, Tianjin and Xiamen cities.
In addition to basic education, the school offers various special studies such as Olympiad courses, national defense and military courses, aviation and aerospace courses, Japanese and art.

The school is introducing advanced educational equipment, employing an advanced campus intelligent teaching system and big data analysis, to help students choose the most suitable courses.
Moreover, the school insists on holding various traditional events, such as candlelight, a mountain day, pi day and a winter bazaar.
