The Zhoucun district of Zibo city – located in East China's Shandong province – held a signing ceremony on May 9 for 30 projects that will cost 15.31 billion yuan ($2.25 billion), local media reported.
They cover such key fields as culture and tourism, equipment manufacturing, new energy and big data.
The investors are from countries such as South Korea, and domestic major cities including Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen.

A plant-based meat products factory developed by Mitejia (Shanghai) Food Science Co Ltd started construction on the day.
According to Bi Yudong, one of the founders of the company, the facility will involve an investment of 1.5 billion yuan. The factory will integrate the research and development, production and sales of plant-based meat products in the region.
After completion, its annual production is expected to hit 100,000 metric tons, making it one of the biggest of its kind in China.
