Shandong launched celebrations at the Qi Culture Museum – a notable facility which integrates the collection, exhibition, protection and research of cultural relics from the ancient Qi state – one of the most powerful states in China for more than 800 years during the Spring and Autumn Period (770-476 BC), as well as in the Warring States Period (475-221 BC).

An opening ceremony for the Jixia Academe academic research tour was also held at the same time. The Jixia Academy is often considered as ancient China's first government-run institution of higher learning, with its ruins site connected to the ancient capital city of Qi.

Zibo's cultural tourism activities and scenic spots information in 2022 were announced at the ceremony.

Since May 19, 12 online and offline cultural and tourism events – including the fourth Tanxi Mountain flower festival and the Yellow River photographic exhibition in Gaoqing county, as well as more than 40 policies benefiting people – have been unveiled.

On May 19, a cultural and creative tourism commodities fair also kicked off. Over 70 cultural and creative enterprises and tourism products enterprises participated in the event and nearly 100 kinds of their products were displayed.
