Medical device manufacturer SHINVA – which has operations in the Zhoucun district of Zibo city, located in East China's Shandong province – finished production of a group of mobile labs for nucleic acid sampling on May 17.
The pop-up labs are expected to help speed up nucleic acid testing and ensure the safety of medical workers in the region.
The company's pop-up lab has two sections, for information registering and sampling. Residents first record their information by showing their QR codes or swiping ID cards and subsequently take the nucleic acid test through a throat or nasal swab.
The mobile pop-up labs can be deployed at hospitals, testing institutions, expressway toll gates, airports, high-speed rail stations, large supermarkets, community squares and in other areas.
A high-efficiency particulate air filter is equipped in the lab, which can provide a medical-grade positive pressure environment. Rubber gloves help avoid direct contact with the sampled person. Furthermore, a UVC sterilization and non-contact temperature measurements system also helps protect medical workers.
In addition, a built-in air conditioning system creates a more comfortable working environment for staff members.
