Shandong University's delegation signed a school-city integration framework agreement with the Zibo government in Zibo, Shandong province on June 7.
According to the agreement, both SDU and the Zibo government will carry out all-round, in-depth and diversified cooperation in various aspects, such as scientific and technological innovation, talent introduction and cultivation, and creative cultural transformation and innovative development.
Officials and managers from both sides also signed seven cooperation agreements on projects that include a healthcare big data research collaboration center, the Zibo center of technology transfer center, basic education strategic cooperation, and a green digital economy research institute.
In addition, Fan Liming, president of SDU, and Jiang Duntao, Party secretary of Zibo, unveiled the employment and entrepreneurship practice base for SDU students, and the Zibo talent liaison station.
Before the signing ceremony, the SDU delegation investigated the incubator platform of SDU and Zibo biomedical research institute, and a public technology service platform. Officials including Fan Liming and Jiang Duntao launched the SDU-Zibo biomedical industry enabling base.
SDU and Zibo have made fruitful achievements in cooperation in sci-tech research, platform construction, and medical services since 2014.
For example, in terms of sci-tech research cooperation, the two sides have established more than 100 sci-tech cooperation projects in the past five years, achieved a large number of important cooperation results in biomedicine, new materials, the chemical industry, and artificial intelligence, and conducted over 40 archaeological excavation and exploration projects.
