Zibo municipal bureau of industry and information technology and Zichuan district government held a meeting, which was attended by representatives from 60 key enterprises across China, to promote the SD30 servo direct drive CNC screw press, a large tonnage screw press developed by Zibo Sangde Machinery Equipment Co Ltd on June 9, local media reported.
"The SD30 direct drive screw press is an alternative to similar imported products," said Xu Xianglong, a chief expert at the Confederation of Chinese Metalforming Industry.
Dong Minghai, chairman of Wuhan Golden Age Motor Technology Co Ltd – user of the SD30 screw press – noted that the product has made a significant breakthrough in the development of a large tonnage screw press with realized power digitization, a servo direct drive, and production line automation.
The SD30 screw press can be widely used in auto parts, aerospace, rail transit, medical equipment and other advanced manufacturing and intelligent manufacturing fields.
Currently, Zibo Sangde Machinery Equipment can produce 120 sets of such screw presses annually. It is expected to achieve 600 million yuan ($90 million) in sales revenue and a net profit of 120 million yuan over the next three years.
The equipment manufacturing sector is the cornerstone of the manufacturing industry in Zibo. It is also the main focus of the city's transformation and upgrading.
Founded in 2018, Zibo Sangde Machinery Equipment is a high-tech enterprise dedicated to the research, development, production and sales of intelligent manufacturing equipment. It plans to build the first intelligent automation equipment base in Shandong province in the next three to five years.
