The Gaoqing district of Zibo city – located in East China's Shandong province – held a signing ceremony on July 20 for 43 projects that will cost 24.45 billion yuan ($3.67 billion), local media reported.
They cover such key fields as health and medicine, new materials, electronics information and equipment manufacturing, modern efficient agriculture and prepared vegetables, new energy, vocational education and industrial real estate.
The projects are said to have large investment scales, high industrial levels and strong development prospects. All of them are expected to play strong and leading roles in the future.
In order to attract these projects, the local government made great efforts, such as a repeated online and offline negotiations, as well as providing specialist services.
From January to June this year, Zibo has introduced 18 projects valued at more than 100 million yuan.
The Yellow River Delta Medicine Valley Industrial Park, positioned as a platform for the high-end medicine and health industry in Zibo, also officially launched the start of construction of its second phase at the ceremony.
Involving an investment of 800 million yuan, it is designed to accommodate over 50 companies.
