The Voice of Zibo music festival kicked off at Xiaofu River Wetland Park in Zibo city, East China's Shandong province on July 23.
The ongoing festival will be held simultaneously at the Hongye Shiyan tourist area, the Xiyueli commercial block in Huantai county, the Yuyanli block in Linzi district and the Anlan Bay scenic area in Gaoqing county at 19:30 every Saturday night. Six local pop, punch and rock bands have already performed original songs as well as tunes since the festival's opening day.
The opening performance of the festival was staged by the band The Future, a group of kids with an average age of 12, who performed the well-known song Do you want to dance?. With his resonant voice, Yang Bokai, the lead vocalist, sang his heart out during the live performance.

Students from Orange Light Music School make up the Orange Light band. Their music is bursting with vibrant melodies.
There were original works in addition to the well-known musical pieces. For example, the Fanghuguishan band performed "Huangsangdian", an original composition that was inspired by a Zibo five-tone opera, to show their love for their hometown. The 3:00 AM band performed their original songs that express the band's musical dreams and attitudes about life.

The music festival is a part of the city's culture and art season, which will last till September.
