Guan Zhong (723-645 BC) was a prominent politician, philosopher and legalist in the Spring and Autumn Period (770-476 BC) and his work Guanzi – which is a classic of philosophy – continues to have cultural meaning in the world today.
Completed in 2004, the Guan Zhong Memorial Hall – located in Zibo city in East China's Shandong province – draws visitors who want a comprehensive look into the life and thoughts of the renowned reformer and chancellor. It is also a national 3A-rated attraction.
There are five themed halls there and an ancestral temple and museum. The five halls display the stories of Guan Zhong, including his friendship with Bao Shuya, who was also a politician. The museum features the story of the various chancellors throughout history.
