The former residence of Zhao Zhixin, also known as Yinyuan Garden – in the Boshan district of Zibo city, in East China's Shandong province – has a distinctive architectural style from the early era of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). Construction was undertaken by Zhao Zhixin's grandfather, Zhao Shuangmei, in 1685. Facing south and set against a backdrop of mountains and water, this fine villa has five courtyards and brick and wooden structures and most buildings are single-roofed bungalows with small tiles.

In 1994, the local government of Boshan district invested in the reconstruction of the garden based on historical records, established the Zhao Zhixin Memorial Hall to commemorate this accomplished realist poet and calligrapher.
