With the Chinese Lunar New Year fast approaching, more than 20 expats from nine countries – including Russia, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Vietnam – were invited to participate in warm-up festival activities on Jan 13 in the Xuegong sub-district of Linzi district, in Zibo city in East China's Shandong province.
They experienced traditional customs – such as writing Spring Festival couplets, making dumplings and painting faces – to welcome in the upcoming traditional festival.
