Zibo-based Tianchen Qixiang New Material Co's nylon project began to manufacture Nylon 66 products on Feb 11, which signaled that a complete nylon industrial chain was formed in Zibo, a city located in East China's Shandong province.
It was another milestone for the enterprise and the industry's high-quality growth. Earlier, the company's devices for acrylonitrile, adipic diamine and adipic nitrile production were put into use.
The production of the Nylon 66 products is of great significance to break the constraints on the transformation and upgrading of China's manufacturing industry, and is expected to play a key role in complementing the short board of China's nylon industry chain, promoting the technological upgrading of high-end nylon new materials, changing the market supply pattern, and promoting the healthy development of the industry.
A representative from Tianchen Qixiang said that the company would focus on chemicals with a high technical threshold such as new chemical materials and special nylon, engineering plastics, high-performance fiber and other new materials, as well as tap into the field of high-value-added chemical product development, and strive to develop more original technologies.
Nylon is closely related to people's daily life. It is one of the five general engineering plastics and one of the key materials in many important fields. Nylon 6 and Nylon 66 are the two main varieties in the sector.
With its excellent properties such as shock resistance, heat resistance, and corrosion resistance, Nylon 66 is widely used in civil, industrial, engineering, aerospace and other fields.
It is an ideal material for high-end yoga clothes, quick-drying clothes, elastic nylon jackets, assault jackets and other types of clothing, and is also an important material for realizing the lightweight of automobiles.
Nylon 66 is also widely used in automobile engines, electrical appliances, car bodies, high-speed rail car bodies, turbines, propeller shafts of large ships, screw propellers, and sliding bearings.
