Transportation
Zhangdian is a transportation and communications hub in the central Shandong region. It is 70 kilometers away from Jinan Yaoqiang International Airport, 190 km from Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport, 210 km from Qingdao Port and 350 km from Yantai Port.
The Qingdao-Jinan Railway, the Jinan-Qingdao High-speed Railway, Jinan-Qingdao Expressway South (North) Line, Binbo Expressway and the Zhanzi-Linzhou Expressway under construction have all shortened the distance between Zhangdian district and major cities.
Zhangdian connects Qingdao and Jinan cities from east to west – forming a one-hour living commuting circle – and it connects Shanghai and Beijing from north to south, which allows for a three-hour commute.
