Through continuous creative transformation and innovative development, traditional Qi culture is taking root and shining with vitality in Zibo, East China's Shandong province.

To help Qi culture become strong intellectual property, effective platforms have been established in Zibo. It has held the Qi Culture Festival for 19 consecutive years, the Qi Culture and Jixia Studies Summit seven times, as well as the Cross-Straits Qi Culture Festival five times.

In terms of cultural publications, Zibo has published over 110 monographs, such as Essentials of Qi Culture and Qi Culture and the New Era. It will also establish a Beijing research institute of Qi culture and a Qi culture research alliance, thus promoting and upgrading the interpretation of Qi culture research.

Elements of Qi culture have been integrated into city construction, adding unique charm to Zibo. At the landmark of Zhongshuge Bookstore, Qi culture elements, such as Qi idiom stories, Qi eaves tiles, ancient chariots and horses, as well as chimes, can be found there. Figures showed that the bookstore attracted more than 40,000 visitors on April 1 and 2.

The empowerment of industries is another practice for the modern development of Qi culture. Zibo is striving to integrate Qi culture with industries, such as the tourism and culture, pottery and glass, health care, catering, as well as hand made goods industries. It aims to construct a handicraft industry system that integrates production, sales, research, and display experiences, bolstering the reputation of the Qipin Zibo brand.

In the future, Zibo will continue to excavate the rich connotations and contemporary values of Qi culture and integrate it into modern life.
