Zibo Customs has offered a range of services to allow the city's mushroom products to shine at the global market, as over 50 percent of the national mushroom exports are from Zibo city, East China's Shandong province.

The first international mushroom industry innovation expo was held in Zibo from June 10 to 12, bringing together over a thousand experts, traders, and industry professionals to discuss the globalization of the edible mushroom industry.

During the expo, Zibo Customs held a policy briefing to interpret export policies, trade measures and convenient customs clearance measures for local mushroom enterprises. This will benefit 135 enterprises and 6,825 people.

In recent years, Zibo Customs has released guidance papers to promote the intelligent cultivation of mushrooms, and has established a self-inspection, self-control, and traceability management system to help expand the mushroom planting industry.

Zibo Customs has also continued to optimize the customs clearance process and shortened the issuance time of inspection certificates in a bid to reduce the time and cost burdens for enterprises.

To address the shortage of apple wood for mushroom spawn production, Zibo Customs has encouraged local mushroom spawn production enterprises to cooperate with fruit orchards and grain production enterprises, thus reaching a supply-demand balance. This move also drives over 800 apple growers in mountainous areas to increase their income by 10 million yuan ($1.38 million).
