The Second Swan Lake International Cittaslow Lotus Festival will be held in the Swan Lake International Cittaslow Scenic Area, which is administered by Zibo city's Gaoqing county in East China's Shandong province, from Aug 20 to 28.
The lotus ponds in the Swan Lake International Cittaslow Scenic Area cover an area of 10,000 mu (666.67 hectares). Tourists can go sightseeing by boat while savoring fresh lotus seeds.
After attending the festival, the Daguotai restaurant provides delicious rice cooked in a wood-fired pot as well as special dishes such as braised fish, chicken, pork ribs and spicy crayfish. What's more, there will also be a customized lotus leaf banquet, which offers chicken and fish cooked in fragrant lotus leaves.
