Gaoqing county in Zibo, a city in East China's Shandong province, has promoted its development strategies in Jinan, the provincial capital, to seek growth cooperation with the province's capital city.

A promotional development meeting was held in Jinan on Feb 16, and during which, Gaoqing county officials unveiled the county's plan to build "five zones", which are the green development pilot zone, the urban-rural integration model zone, the "dual-carbon" life demonstration zone, the quality life pioneering zone, and the innovation and entrepreneurship vitality zone.

The Second Swan Lake International Cittaslow Lotus Festival will be held in the Swan Lake International Cittaslow Scenic Area, which is administered by Zibo city's Gaoqing county in East China's Shandong province, from Aug 20 to 28.

The Gaoqing district of Zibo city – located in East China's Shandong province – held a signing ceremony on July 20 for 43 projects that will cost 24.45 billion yuan ($3.67 billion), local media reported.

Production equipment for a biological food and beverage manufacturing factory currently under construction by Shandong Gugan Food Co Ltd was being welded and installed on May 15.

In the wake of its construction being sped up, it's expected to complete its commissioning and go into pilot production in June.

The factory is situated in the planned Yellow River Delta Medicine Valley Industrial Park, administered by Zibo city, in East China's Shandong province.

Gaoqing county – administered by Zibo city in East China's Shandong province – held a launch ceremony for the Yellow River hiking and flower viewing season on April 23.

Adjacent to the Yellow River, Gaoqing county held a series of thematic activities – including an electronic film festival, an intangible cultural heritage bazaar, a cultural and tourism products trade fair and an exhibition on Yellow River culture.

Gaoqing county – administered by Zibo city in East China's Shandong province – held a groundbreaking ceremony for a slew of major projects on March 24, a day after the city officially restarted normal production and operations.

Twenty-five big projects costing 14.7 billion yuan ($2.31 billion) broke ground that day: 11 newly started projects and 14 projects that resumed operations. The projects cover industries such as health and medicine, new materials and infrastructure.

Gaoqing county – administered by the prefecture-level city of Zibo, in East China's Shandong province – is taking full advantage of the its prime Yellow River resources to create fine tourist routes, regaling visitors with its gentle and glorious scenery.

The Yellow River's Anlan Bay is said to quite literally embrace Gaoqing with its arms. Now, the Anlan Bay scenic spot has been set up there as a quality attraction for visitors to appreciate the magnificence of the Yellow River.

Gaoqing county – administered by the prefecture-level city of Zibo, in East China's Shandong province – was listed on Dec 13 as an agricultural mechanization demonstration county by the Shandong Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.

The county has been mechanizing the whole process of its staple crop production since 2020. It is said to have won recognition for its efficient mechanization, implemented to a high-quality and applied over a wide area.

By the end of 2020, the mechanization rate of the local planting industry had reached 99.7 percent, with the mechanized processing capacity for straw treatment hitting 100 percent.
