The Chinese Textbook Museum is located in Zibo National New & High-tech Industrial Development Zone in the city of Zibo, East China's Shandong province.
With a total area of 22,000 square meters and a collection of more than 20,000 books, the institution is not only the first of its kind in Asia, but also has the largest standalone structure and the most expansive collection of books.
It presents a panoramic display of primary and secondary school textbooks from various historical periods in China, from 1862 to the present.

The museum explores everything from ancient China's enlightenment education to the running of new schools by recreating scenes from the past.
In addition, various interactive experience activities are on offer at the museum. Visitors can experience movable type printing, ancient paper-making, traditional rite of admission for Confucian students, and other events.
