Geography
Boshan district is located to the north of Luzhong Mountain and to the south of Zibo city, in East China's Shandong province. It borders Yiyuan county to the south with the Laiwu district of Jinan – capital of Shandong province – to the southwest. It neighbors the Zhangqiu district of Jinan to the northwest and adjoins Zichuan district to the east and north.
Transportation
The district is 70 kilometers away from Jinan International Airport. There are the Xintai (Xindian-Taishan) and Zhangba (Zhangdian-Badou) railways, as well as the Binlai (Binzhou-Laiwu) Expressway in the area. Intersections have been set up in Boshan to connect to the national expressway network.
