The launch ceremony of the 2023 Qi Culture Promotion Season took place on April 18 at Zhongshuge Bookstore – located in Zibo city, in East China's Shandong province – signaling the start of a series of promotion activities for Qi culture.
Zibo was the capital of the ancient Qi state, which was one of the most powerful states during the Spring and Autumn Period (770-476 BC) and the Warring States Period (475-221 BC). Its culture has left a profound and enduring impact on the region and it is celebrated to this day.
The promotions season has been held for three consecutive years in Zibo and the theme this year is the transformation and development of Qi culture.
Nine series of activities will be staged, including the 3rd Qi Culture Animation Design Competition and the 4th Qi Culture Short Video Competition.

The season, seen as being a key tool to market Qi culture, is widely said to have continued to expand and enrich its content and activities, so as to boost the participation of different groups.
In the run-up, Zibo set goals for the transformation and development of Qi culture in the current year – covering academic research, industrial development, publicity and promotions.
