The Zichuan district in Zibo – located in East China's Shandong province – inaugurated a rail transit committee under the auspices of the Shandong branch of the China Chamber of International Commerce, or CCOIC, on Dec 24.
On the same day, the Zichuan district government signed an agreement on constructing a rail transit industrial park with the rail transit committee of the CCOIC's Shandong branch.
Shandong Guangheng Electric Technology Ltd and other companies signed contracts with the Zichuan district government to base themselves in the industrial park.
The committee was initiated by five companies – including Zibo Domaster Insulator Co – whose products are widely used in electrified railways, urban rail transit and in other fields.
The committee will cooperate with universities and scientific research institutes, to strengthen research and development of intelligent and digital rail transit system.
By setting up the rail transit development platform, the committee is expected to integrate production, education and the research process and promote the innovative development of new technologies, materials and products.
It is understood that the committee will strengthen information and resource exchanges between different disciplines and industries.
