A week-long festival for foodies, which opened on June 8 in Zibo city – located in East China's Shandong province – brought together over 78 wonderful gastronomic delights from the city's Zichuan district, as well as over 100 local agricultural products and time-honored brands.

The Zichuan economic development zone – administered by Zibo city, in East China's Shandong province – on May 6 held a signing ceremony for 20 new projects, as well as a groundbreaking ceremony for projects costing nearly 7.31 billion yuan ($1.08 billion), local media reported.

The Zichuan district in Zibo – located in East China's Shandong province – inaugurated a rail transit committee under the auspices of the Shandong branch of the China Chamber of International Commerce, or CCOIC, on Dec 24.
On the same day, the Zichuan district government signed an agreement on constructing a rail transit industrial park with the rail transit committee of the CCOIC's Shandong branch.
The municipal government of Zibo city, East China's Shandong province signed a strategic agreement with international energy supplier Shandong Energy Group Co on Dec 14 which is expected to boost the local economy.
Under the terms of the contract, the local government will coordinate the city's resources to offer attractive policies, better services and higher efficiency and help promote the company's projects.
For its part, Shandong Energy will develop new energy, new materials, high-end chemicals and information industries, taking advantage of the city's strong industrial foundations.
