Gaoqing county – administered by the prefecture-level city of Zibo, in East China's Shandong province – is taking full advantage of the its prime Yellow River resources to create fine tourist routes, regaling visitors with its gentle and glorious scenery.
The Yellow River's Anlan Bay is said to quite literally embrace Gaoqing with its arms. Now, the Anlan Bay scenic spot has been set up there as a quality attraction for visitors to appreciate the magnificence of the Yellow River.
This example is being offered as a model for other cities in the area to manage their tourism development of the Yellow River.

Along the river, Suoyifan village in Changjia town has set up outlets designed to whet the appetites of foodies in all four seasons. Visitors are flocking there to sample authentic Yellow River carp, crayfish, Gaoqing rice and other fine local agricultural products.
It is understood that Suoyifan was recently listed as a scenic village, in an announcement released by the Shandong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism.

Gaoqing, meanwhile, is expected to create a tourism brand for being a "slow city", developing its rural tourism and boosting the incomes of locals.
