The city of Zibo in East China's Shandong province will resume normal production and life – following the recent COVID-19 outbreak – from midnight on March 23, according to a recent announcement made by the municipal government.
In order to swiftly return things to normal, companies in the city are understood to have undertaken a great deal of preparation work to speed up production.
Due to the large number of trucks going in and out of the factory, Zibo Qixiang Tengda Chemical Co Ltd in the Linzi district has applied to set up a 48-hour temporary nucleic acid self-testing site, the first of its kind in the district.
Self-testing materials have arrived at the company, which is speeding up its product distribution.
During the COVID-19 outbreak Zichai Power Co Ltd – insisting on working online – signed contracts involving more than 40 million yuan ($ 6.28 million), collected loans of more than 30 million yuan and negotiated sales contracts worth nearly 100 million yuan.
In addition, municipal government departments have fully prepared for the resumption of work and production.
On March 21, the Zibo municipal bureau of industry and information technology announced 28 telephone lines were installed to help industrial enterprises resume work and output. The local government also inquired about difficulties companies encountered in production during the outbreak.
