Production equipment for a biological food and beverage manufacturing factory currently under construction by Shandong Gugan Food Co Ltd was being welded and installed on May 15.
In the wake of its construction being sped up, it's expected to complete its commissioning and go into pilot production in June.
The factory is situated in the planned Yellow River Delta Medicine Valley Industrial Park, administered by Zibo city, in East China's Shandong province.
It's only taken half a year for the project to go from the signing of agreements into production.

Together with the Gugan factory, seven other biomedical or pharma projects can also start operating soon, even though the industrial park has not yet completed construction. After they all go into operation, their combined annual output value is expected to be 1.6 billion yuan ($239.7 million).
The new industrial park is expected to be a hit with more companies, that have witnessed its rapid rise.
The park has been positioned as a platform for the high-end medicine and health industry. Its factories will be fully furnished, making it convenient for businesses to set up shops there.
Plant designs adhere to multi-type, multi-functions – seeking to meet the needs of medical equipment, medical beauty biology, pharmaceutical research and development and production projects.
The park is expected to have 39,000 square meters of commercial offices, an inspection and testing center, sterilization center, talent apartment, a restaurant and other support facilities – providing space for one-stop innovation incubations, product inspections and testing, business negotiations and other life-cycle services for enterprises. This is projected to help decrease 30 percent of the land costs of resident businesses.
The first phase of the industrial park – comprising, indoor support facilities such as water, electricity and heating – is currently in place and outdoor road greening and other ancillary facilities are under construction. Expectations are that it can be delivered by the end of May.
The second phase, involving an investment of 800 million yuan, will start construction in June. It is designed to accommodate over 50 companies.
