Jianbing, or Zibo's local pancake, is what wakes up and energizes folks every morning in the city – located in East China's Shandong province.
To prepare jianbing, a spoonful of batter is poured onto a hot plate, where it forms a golden circle. You then spread an egg over the pancake once the batter turns solid.
Then, brush sweet bean paste over the pancake and place succulent meat, sausages, chopped coriander and scallions onto it.
The last step is to roll the pancake like chicken rolls.
