The Shandong-Hong Kong Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation Conference and the 20th China (Zibo) New Materials Technology Forum will be held on Feb 23-24 in the Qisheng International Hotel – in Zibo city, in East China's Shandong province – according to a local government press conference on Feb 21.
An opening ceremony for the events will take place tomorrow morning. The Shandong-Hong Kong Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation Conference is scheduled be held in the afternoon and participating academicians and experts will then visit the city of Zibo.
On Feb 24, the 20th China (Zibo) New Materials Technology Forum will take place. Participants from Hong Kong and Macao's universities will be invited to visit the city at the same time.
The events will be carried out both on-site and online, in order to involve as many experts as possible. Districts and counties, as well as industrial parks and companies will also prepare a series of matchmaking events during the period.
The Shandong-Hong Kong Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation Conference is widely seen as being an important affair for the Shandong Provincial Government to strengthen its cooperation with Hong Kong in the field of sci-tech innovation.
The China (Zibo) New Materials Technology Forum has been held 19 times since 2002.
It has grown to become an essential platform for Zibo's science and technology units, businesses and national colleges – as well as universities and scientific research institutions – to strengthen their cooperation, share results and promote development.
