The thirsty anticipation of enthusiasts is building, with the Zibo-Tsingtao Beer Festival due to kick off in the Zibo Convention and Exhibition Center in Zibo city – in East China's Shandong province – on the evening of Aug 11.
This year's beer festival will introduce a full range of beer varieties from celebrated Chinese producer Tsingtao Brewery Co Ltd.

It will also feature different zones such as a stage performance area, catering area, culture experience area and a creative market.
"We will celebrate the city's great cultural symbols during the festival – including Qi culture, our ceramics and glassware and our food," said Wu Di, deputy general manager of Zibo Cultural Tourism Assets Management Co Ltd.
Wu said the snack stalls had been designed to particularly appeal to visitors – cute hexagonal shaped wooden structures that are 3 meters high and 3 meters wide.
The design is said to maximize the service surface and reduce queuing times.
