Boshan district whets appetites of foodies

As home to the redoubtable Shandong cuisine, the Boshan district in Zibo city – located in East China's Shandong province – has long been known for its culinary specials, attracting foodies from all over the world.

The newly upgraded Laoyanshen food-themed street features stalls offering more than 30 traditional dishes, such as Boshan crispy pots, dumplings, barbecues and pancakes.

Taking advantage of being the birthplace of Shandong cuisine, Boshan district annually holds food festivals, which help boost the tourism economy.

It is understood that Boshan district is the place to find three time-honored Chinese food brands, 17 famous snacks, 13 recognized dishes and 13 cooking masters.
