Boshan district – administered by the prefecture-level city of Zibo, in East China's Shandong province – is beefing up efforts to build its tourism brand by integrating its natural resources, ceramic culture, rural experience activities and many other appealing features.

It is widely said that tourists are always spoilt for choice for things to do in Boshan district.

Yanshen Ancient Town still retains 13 conserved ancient kilns, old streets and more than 100 ancient buildings from the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties.

Put simply, Boshan is an agglomeration of attractive local resources, such as ancient kilns and historical town blocks, modern homestays and food streets, as well as cultural spaces – including ceramics exhibitions, trading markets and folk art museums.

The Yunqiao natural resort also boasts an ever-popular red-leaf forest and is a place where people can go camping, try out water slides and go on memorable outdoors adventures.

Boshan district has integrated its natural resources – such as Yuanshan Mountain, Lushan Mountain, Kaiyuan Karst Cave, Lili Lake, Jiulongyu among others – to create an immersive and one-stop experience for visitors.
